Flight to the Eternal City: Rome Fiumicino v2 Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator

MK Studios has launched Rome Fiumicino v2 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, marking a return to the Eternal City’s main airport a decade after their original Mega Airport Rome.

On January 8, 2026, MK Studios (MKS) released Rome Fiumicino v2 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. This release comes ten years after their initial Mega Airport Rome, which was commissioned by Aerosoft and featured in FS MAGAZIN 1/2016 under the title “Simulatus Populusque Romanum.”

The first edition of the airport scenery supported FSX, FSX:SE, and Prepar3D versions 1 through 3, and was later extended to Prepar3D version 4 (v1.04). The new version is designed for the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator platforms, inviting virtual pilots to explore the Eternal City’s primary airport once again.
